With all these new gadgets promising you to tone/lift, even promised to smooth out your wrinkles, for all around £100. I am saving money by doing my own facial and not going to the salon, especially with the whole living crisis going on, right?
So, let's see whether the following sounded like you. Just bare with me.
I have got a Jade Roller which cost me £6.99 from TkMaxx. It promised to tone and firm. I spent hours looking at soooo many online tutorials. I also bought serum to use with it, which was £12.99 I think. So when I didn't see any results after a month, I bought a magnetic facial roller, which was £89.99. It's electric powered so I gathered it will be better than the manual one. When that failed to give me any results after a month or so, I went and bought another brand which was £119.99. I am still waiting to see any result yet.
I have also bought into the craze of the derma roller, it was £39.99. It apparently meant to deal with fine lines, fade acne scars and hyperpigmentation. I applied products before using it and religiously followed tutorials. You can guess what's coming next, nope. Doesn't work. Wrinkles still there and scaring has faded a little bit but, nope.
You would of worked out within the last 4 months to 6 months, I have spent £269.65 and that's not including the serums that went with them or my usual cleansing routine product....just don't tell the husband.
I am guessing a lot of you out there are in the same boat (probably not as bad as me). Drawers full of lost promises and faded hope.
It is worth going into a salon and get a facial in my opinion. For example, Bio Glow from Elemis which was £89.99 from Banantyne Spa. There are numbers of different facial treatments we can choose from. My Ultimate hydro facial by me is only £70. It can treat acne, fine lines, black heads and uneven skin tone. I know a lot of salon charge over the nose with treatments, this is why I make sure that all my clients receive a full consultation before treatments. I want to make sure you guys don't waste money unnecessarily.
It is worth that little breathing space for yourself, especially during currently living crisis. x
